Edna Askins

Chef Edna Liz Askins is a Baltimore Native who lives and grew up in the very heart of East Baltimore. She is a mother of 5 grown Children, a Wife, and has 11 beautiful Grandchildren.

She was just not a Chef, but Edna Graduated in 2005 from Baltimore City Community College as a Health worker before receiving a High School Diploma. Edna then received her High School Diploma in 2010 from Baltimore City Community College.

She is a pillar in her community where she serves as Elder Designate and Chairperson who teaches Women Ministry at her local church, Renewed Hope International Church, under the LeaderShip of Bishop Dontae A. Alston & also works on the Administrative team.

Edna has also worked for the State of Maryland Maryland Department of Disabilities, State Of Maryland Criminal Justice Information and Technology, State of Maryland Child CPS, City of Baltimore Government East Baltimore Neighborhood Service Center under the leadership of the Late Delegate Hattie Harrison, Baltimore City Child Support Enforcement, and Federal Government United State Census as an Enumerator.

Edna holds many certifications such as American Hotel & Lodging AHLA Certified Guest Service Professional, Techniques of Fingerprinting Certification, Effective Business Writing, Writing Essentials, Community Health Worker Certification, ServSafe Managers Certification, and Food Handlers Certification.

Chef Liz’s most recent accomplishment is becoming a Chef . She graduated Valedictorian from the CCBC and the Maryland Food Works Program Rouxbe Culinary School. Chef Liz has a heart of gold and believes in teaching to reach others, no matter the audience. She believes that love will conquer all, if we practice it more often. As a new Chef, she practices healthy safe eating for African American Culture. Chef Liz believes that no one is hungry because I am cooking.
